Pattern- Work diary

Evaluation of session;
I liked the session of pattern as it made me realise how many patterns we pass everyday without realising it. It made me notice how many man-made patterns there are, be it intentional or unintentional and how many patterns are found in nature, like on flowers and leaves. However once i had taken pictures of walls and plants it because increasingly difficult to find different patterns.

This is my favourite off all of the pictures i had taken during that session. I like this one to most as it shows two different patterns in the one picture. The first pattern is the pattern of the brick wall and the second is the pattern the shadow created by the gate close to the brick wall. I also like how the bricks are all different colours and tones.
I also like this picture as it again has two different patterns in one picture, the first is the actual bars and the second is the shadow created by the angle of the sun as it hits the bars. The two patterns together make the bars look more three dimensional. However, i think the photo would look better if you could see more of the sky in the background rather than the wall.
Progression;
If i were to continue taking pictures of patterns i would look
for more natural patterns as the majority of the pictures i took
during that session were man-made patterns. I would also like
 to find more examples of patterns created by a shadow onto
more than one different surface, like the photo to the right.-
