As it was my first session of photography i found it was slightly challenging to get the right angels and to get the lighting right but overall i enjoyed the session as we were able to take pictures of what we wanted to because 'lines' is quite a broad topic and lines can be found everywhere you look.
I enjoyed the first session as it was the first time i have been given a specific subject to take pictures of, rather than just taking pictures of what i found interesting, it was good to have a topic such as lines as it made me focus more on the detail of things and notice that lines make up almost everything, which was helpful as although we had a topic to take pictures of there are so many different things we were able to take pictures of.
This image was one of the first pictures that i took when we were told tot ale pictures of lines. I immediately thought of taking a picture of a wall as brick walls are very common and are well known for having lines. This image shows vertical and horizontal lines. I don't like this picture as a lot of people took similar pictures, however a positive aspect of this picture is that the lines are not just straight as that appear to be at a distance. they are jagged and imperfect when you look closer.
The second image includes about different varieties of lines. it shows straight lines, imperfect lines. The straight lines are man made where us the imperfect lines in the middle of the bench are natural lines that are there because they are the pattern of the wood used for the bench. The straight line in this picture sort of separates the picture down the middle. In the background there is another man made line, there is bricks on the floor which show horizontal and vertical lines.
Progression;
If i were to continue to take photographs of lines i would take pictures of lines as a part of something greater, such as lines on a building as most of the picture i took are quite close up and you are unable to see where the lines come from. As well as this another thing i would do would be to take more pictures of natural lines as the majority if the pictures i took were of man made lines, like signs and walls.

the building that they came from
