1. The distance from the top or surface to the bottom of something.
2. Depth of field (DOF) is the distance between the nearest and farthest objects in a scene that appear acceptably sharp in an image.
Describing words;
Small, large, blurred, long, short, intense.
The four images i have chosen for this show different forms of depth in photography.
The first and second picture show how depth can be found everywhere you look, for example somewhere as simple as the street or a road. The third image shows how depth is not only found on pathways or rods but i can also be founding everyday objects and the forth image shows an example of vertical depth that can be found anywhere you look.
Own definition;
The ability to show the length or height of something without actually seeing the end.
