Lines- image bank

Both of these images of lines are used as symbols.
The first image is of an album cover from the band Bring me the Horizon. The image is the symbol for the word 'Sempiternal' which means ever lasting. The use of circular lines in this image portray the idea of ever lasting as circle have neither a start or a finish.  The second image is of the Deathly Hallows symbols from the film Harry Potter. I used this image as each of the lines included in this
symbolise different things from the story but all join together to
form a greater thing. These are both examples of how lines can be used to symbolise something with meaning.

The next two images show how natural lines are formed with all different shapes and lengths. The first image is of a fingerprints. Every fingerprint has a unique shape that is useful when it comes to
identifying individuals. On a fingerprint the
lines are all naturally made to be different
to the other lines; so there will be lines on a
fingerprint that are longer or more curved
or thicker than others. The second image
is of the bark on a tree. On every tree the
lines in the bark create different patterns
that make the tree different from any other.

The final two images show a desert and an ocean.
In both of these images it shows naturally occurring and changing lines.
These lines change when the wind blows.
I chose write about these images as the
lines have no set shape and change constantly.
In the first image the clouds form a less obvious line, that each from their own individual shape that also changes frequently.
