Depth- Work diary.

Evaluation of session;
I enjoyed taking pictures of 'depth' the most out of all of the topics as, although it was difficult to begin with as i was only looking for depth in pathways and hallways, but as the session progressed i was finding depth in other places like along walls and vertically rather than horizontally. From this session i realised that a lot of the photographs i took are also examples of texture, so if i were to shoot for texture i would have more examples and know where to look.

This is my favourite picture i took during the session on depth as each ridge in the carpet looks like it comes to a point as it gets further away, i also like how although the carpet is all one colour when you look down at it, when you look at it from this angle the carpet looks s though it has different tones on grey, making it look more three- dimensional.

I like the second image as it is a good example of how depth can be found not only horizontally like i originally thought, but also vertically. I also like how the sun makes the roof look black, so its a good contrast against the light blue sky. This photograph is also a good example of pattern as you can see the pattern that the clouds make in the sky and the pattern of the bricks up the wall and an example of texture as you can see that the surface is smooth as there are no bumps or darker parts that would indicate that is is rough.

Progression;
If i were to continue taking pictures of 'depth' i would try to find more natural examples as all of the pictures i took were man-made and i would also try and find more vertical examples of depth as i only took a few pictures of vertical depth and they were not very good.
