Texture- Work diary.

Evaluation of session;
I enjoyed the lesson that we had to take photographs of texture as there were a lot of things to take photographs of as everything has a slightly different texture. So when we were told to take photos of texture i didn't think it would be too difficult. The only thing that i found slightly challenging during this session is ensure that i had the sun hitting the surface in the right direction otherwise the texture of it would not have shown up very well in the actual photograph.

 This is my favourite photograph out of all of the ones i had taken during that session as i think it shows the texture of e tree very well. It is obvious that the tree is very bumpy all over as the light is hitting the tree from the right, so the light goes doesn't go into all of the ridges and dips in the tree trunk, meaning that it is lighter on top of the bumps in the tree.

The second image i took that i have chosen to write about is this one of blinded behind a glass window. We can see that the blinds don't close to form one smooth surface as it is darker where each section of the blind separates from the other, also we can see that the glass has a smooth surface as the light is jet reflecting straight off of it and not creating a shadow anywhere.

Progression;
If we were to go out again and take more photographs of texture, i would try to find more smooth surfaces as the majority of photographs i had taken during that session were of bumpy and rough surfaces. I would also take more photos of the different textures on the ground as most of mine were of buildings or objects.
